The club was delighted to host a sold-out Charity High Tea on Saturday 11 July, welcoming more than 100 guests for an afternoon of friendship, generosity and community spirit, all in support of an exciting project to upgrade the playground at Oasis House  and to supply funds to support the work for days for girls.
Events such as this are only possible because of the generosity of our community. The Rotary Club of Tauranga Te Papa and Days for Girls extends its heartfelt thanks to every business, organisation and individual who generously donated auction items, raffle prizes and sponsorship .Your support has made a significant contribution towards creating an improved playground where the children and families of Oasis House can enjoy a safe, welcoming and engaging outdoor environment and the support to provide much needed materials to support the distribution of Days for Girls sanitary kits .

From the moment guests arrived, they were treated to a truly elegant experience. Beautifully laid tables featuring fine china created a wonderful atmosphere, while an outstanding selection of delicious food was lovingly prepared dedicated volunteers from the Women's, Children's Health and Wellbeing Committee and the Days for Girls Sewing Group and served to the tables by Girls from ACG interact Club and Bethlehem college.
One of the highlights of the afternoon was the live charity auction, where nine outstanding auction items generated enthusiastic bidding. Our sincere thanks go to Rodney Fong, whose humour, energy and entertaining auctioneering encouraged spirited bidding.
Adding to the excitement were 25 silent auction items and a popular raffle, providing everyone with the opportunity to support the charities while taking home some wonderful prizes.
We also express our sincere appreciation to Bethlehem Baptist Church for generously providing such an excellent venue. Their hospitality and support helped create the perfect setting for this special occasion.
Finally, thank you to everyone who attended, volunteered, donated, sponsored or helped in any way. Your generosity demonstrates the remarkable spirit of our community and your willingness to make a real difference in the lives of others.
Together, we are creating a brighter future for the children and families of Oasis House and the work of Days for Girls—one cup of tea (or Coffee), one bid and one act of generosity at a time.
