This is more complete info on what we are helping local schools with
- We held elections and elected new officers – President: Hannah Dufaur, Vice-president: Hannan Buchannan, Secretary: Emilia Yip, Treasurer: Casey Purves – they are all really excited and have started full of energy
- Donated $1000 to SPCA (raised through the cupcake sale)
- Organising a food drive for the Tauranga Community Foodbank. This will take place from Wednesday 21 September to Wednesday 28 September, it runs as a class competition where the class with the most cans per student gets a pizza lunch
- Organising a Shave for a Cure event for week 2 of term 4. One of our students has been growing our his mullet for over a year and is going to shave it off and donate the hair. Other students are invited to join in (with checked parental permission first!!) by either shaving their hair or cutting a set amount off and being sponsored to do so.
- Organising a now 6 hour relay for Dec 2 to raise funds for the Cancer society
- Duck Race ticket sales are going well – students have organised a competition as to who can sell the most (they have to bake each other cakes), they are taking it quite seriously.
