Club Picnic at Te Puna Quarry Park
Apr 29, 2023

Picnic at the Quarry -(Te Puna Quarry Park)  Saturday 29 April - from  1pm.

This is a reminder that our next social outing is on Saturday 29 April. The event is a Club Picnic at the Te Puna Quarry.

The afternoon we suggest starts at 1pm when or when you wish to arrive at the Quarry. There is a spectacular 45 minute walk around the Quarry Hills with great views back to Tauranga, Mt Maunganui and surrounding countryside. The gardens are beautiful started in 1997, some great sculptures including the work done by Rotary Otumoetai with a moving Rotary Wheel. (our own Win Love is one of the local volunteers who spends time tending the gardens).

Gather together, have afternoon tea, a drink or two and some social fun. Sunset is late afternoon so plan early picnic dinner or departure when you wish.

Everybody brings their own meat and Salads and beverages; also their own equipment like chairs, tables, plates, cutlery., glasses, garbage bag and whatever else is considered important.

I will be at the park to direct you to the area at 1pm. Look for the Club banner and signs.

Enter the park and turn right after the entry gate to the lawn and shelter.

For those of you who need to know more about Te Puna Quarry Park see web site www.quarrypark.org.nz

There is no cost to enjoy this magical place.

So as to complete a list of attendees please email rogerm1945@xtra.co.nz or call 0274 844499 so if cancelled due to weather I can contact you.

Please reply by 26 April or sooner.

This is a nice opportunity for you to socialise with the club members.
